Headless Horseman rides again…
The elusive Headless Horseman will once again ride the historic land of the Conner Prairie Settlement in Fishers this fall. The horseman legend of 200 years will be celebrated at the living history museum and will start his ride on October 6th and continue through October 30th every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, 6 pm until 10 pm. This epic hayride has been one of Indiana’s most attended fall events for nearly 40 years.
This year the horseman is accompanied by:
- Barrel train rides
- Legend of Amsel Farm, Haunted Maze
- Spooky shows and storytelling
- A spinning apples carnival ride and festive games including Cauldron Toss, Zombie Soccer, and Monster Mini-Golf
- ‘Mis’-Fortune telling with Carl Voyant
- Live DJ and delicious food
- Stage of screams – One-man Magic
- Monster Museum

Hayride tickets are available for $5.00. It is strongly recommended to purchase hayride tickets in advance peak times sell out fast. Additional costs you may want to plan for include food and drink, a ride on the 1859 Balloon Voyage and items from the Apple Store. Conner Prairie accepts credit/debit cards for all attractions.
In 2021 the corn maze was named to the top 10 best in the country by USA Today. 2022 celebrates the 200th anniversary of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow so the custom 690,000 square foot corn maze design depicts the Horseman rearing up on his mystical horse from an open book.
